Pilates for You

“If your spine is inflexibly stiff at 30, you are old. If it is completely flexible at 60, you are young.” Joseph Pilates
About me
I'm Sarah and I've been practising Pilates regularly for over 8 years, following the birth of my second daughter. Having suffered from back problems for a couple of years and also sciatica during pregnancy, I reaped the benefits of regular practice and soon became a passionate advocate of Pilates.
I have since achieved my Level 3 Pilates Certification, having trained with Body Control Pilates in London, renowned as a world-leading education provider for Pilates teaching. In 2022, I qualified to teach reformer pilates through the Lisa B Pilates Academy Program.
In addition to the above, I have gained a Level 3 Award in "Understanding Pilates and its impact on Bone Health" (such as Osteoporosis and Osteopenia). I am currently working towards my Level 3 Award in "Physical Activity (Pilates) and Health Considerations for the Older Adult" I am also a "Back4Good Low Back Pain Practitioner" which has enabled me to have the necessary knowledge and skills to use adapted exercises to work safely and effectively with clients in this important area.
